Why did you get into the business and how long have you been in it? I got into the environmental education field professionally in 2005, but have always had a desire to protect the environment. I grew up along the Texas coast and started out doing trash clean ups along those beaches. My love for this field grew ten fold and I choose to spend my life’s work helping the environment and those who live in it.
What’s your favorite part about what you do for a living? Seeing the aha moment! When you see people change their behavior because they want to based on education that you have given to them.
What’s the best vacation you’ve ever taken and why? The best vacation that I have ever taken was a month long trip from south Texas all the way up to Oregon, down the west coast to southern California and then back to south Texas. It was a completely unscheduled trip with no real time lines. We adventured in what ever direction we wanted, took as much time as we wanted, and did everything we wanted. Having a month to do whatever you want is very freeing.

Why did you get into the business and how long have you been in it? Carolyn West, who used to own the Bridal Boutique that was a floral & event planning business encouraged me to open a gown store, so I did — that was in 1990!
What is your favorite part about what you do for a living? The business is very successful & provides a nice living. I enjoy the local customers, many of whom are my good friends.
What’s the best vacation you’ve ever taken and why? Every year my husband, daughter and I go to Barcelona for market. While we are there we also go to another 1-2 countries for vacation. Last year we went to Rome and Madrid. This year will be Greece and Croatia!
