This May, Lewisville voters will elect two new City Council members to fill open seats for Places 1 and 3. In an effort to inform our membership and the Lewisville community on City Council candidates’ views, the OTBA Board of Directors sent a questionnaire to the candidates running for City Council. Southern Denton County will welcome its first publicly operated arts center when Medical Center of Lewisville Grand Theater celebrates its grand opening Jan. 14-16 in Old Town Lewisville. Plans for the three-day event include music and dance performances, a children’s concert, an art display and a formal dedication ceremony for the city-owned facility.

The Lewisville Old Town Business Association (OTBA) in partnership with the Old Town Preservation Society (OTPS) was chosen to receive a grant of $1,225 from the Anice Read Fund of Communities Foundation of Texas and the Texas Downtown Association. The grant will support an expansion of OTBA’s small business development forums. Read more.

Lewisville Masonic Lodge #201 will host officials from the Grand Lodge of Texas A.F. & A.M. to conduct a cornerstone ceremony at 10:30 a.m. at the Lewisville Center for Creative Arts, currently under construction at the corner of Main and Charles streets in Old Town Lewisville.
